Howl Hollow K9 began with one dog named Terra.

After leaving the military, I found myself struggling with depression, PTSD, and the loneliness that often comes with transitioning into civilian life. I knew I needed a companion, and that's when Terra came into my life.

She wasn't an easy dog.

Terra came with a long list of behavioral challenges from her previous home, and there were plenty of moments when I questioned whether I was doing anything right. But she was my dog, and we were a team. Giving up was never an option.

Determined to help her succeed, I immersed myself in learning everything I could about canine behavior and training. I spent years studying, reading, attending training opportunities, practicing, making mistakes, and continually improving.

Over time, something incredible happened.

Terra transformed into a confident, dependable companion. More importantly, the bond we built through training became a source of stability in my own life. She helped me navigate the challenges of depression, PTSD, and anxiety, proving that the relationship between a person and their dog can be truly life-changing.

That journey sparked a passion that has grown into nearly a decade of working with dogs. Every new dog has taught me something valuable, and every dog I've helped has reinforced the belief that successful training isn't about domination or quick fixes—it's about communication, consistency, trust, and understanding.

Today, Howl Hollow K9 exists to help other owners experience the same transformation I experienced with Terra.
